Bigger… Better… Faster… More… Now!
This is the modern way of life.
And I can’t see it changing any time soon.
Everyone is always busy and in a rush.
With every day becoming a battle to keep up with the daily demands of life and struggling with the accompanying stress, anxiety and overwhelm.
Wishing for the weekend when you can FINALLY rest (which actually never happens because it’s the only time you have to catch up with ‘life stuff’, right?).
As a result? You push your personal well-being down the priority list. 👎🏻
You just don’t have a choice…
There’s simply no time left to get to the gym, prepare healthy meals, sit and eat slowly, meditate, get to bed at 10pm and everything else you feel you need to be doing to live a healthy life.
Trying to do too much can just become massively overwhelming, and as a result your health progressively deteriorates.
Maybe at first you notice your clothes getting a little tighter…?
Perhaps climbing the stairs at work now presents more of a challenge than it used to…?
Maybe the scales show you’ve gained a few pounds…? ⚖️
While These Small Changes Are Not Massively ‘Shocking’, It’s The Insidious Deterioration That Can Add Up To Significant Changes Over Time
When your favourite clothes no longer fit at all and you’ve had to buy a brand new wardrobe because your body shape has completely changed….
When you’re now completely out of breath after climbing just one flight of stairs because your fitness levels have deteriorated…
When those few pounds of weight gain have become a few stones and you’re the heaviest you’ve ever been….
This is the unfortunate reality for the modern professional and business owner. 😔
And it’s often not until things are ‘that far gone’ health-wise that people realise they really must make a change.
This is usually about the time people contact us for help…
The time when they realise they HAVE to make a change before things get any worse.
I’m not telling you this to make you feel bad, but rather just illustrating that by not prioritising your health NOW, you may end up in a difficult spot further down the line.
And the longer you leave it, the more difficult it becomes to regain your health, body shape and ideal weight.
I know you’re already struggling with ‘no time’, but I’d have you consider that little changes now add up to bigger changes later.
Those little things like walking more, getting to bed earlier and not having that dessert or extra bottle of red (regardless of how much you crave it!) really can pay dividends, and don’t take up any extra time.
We also work with our clients to figure out how they can create more space in their day for further activities like going to the gym and preparing healthy food in a time-effective manner.
But I won’t go into that right now because it can contribute to further overwhelm…
Instead, the take home message is to help you understand that if you’re starting to feel negative shifts in your health, fitness or body shape, NOW is the time to act. ✔️
Don’t wait until things get so bad that you ‘have to do something’, but rather find creative ways to make small changes now.
